What is abrasion erosion?
A
When the load the river is varying repeatedly hits the river bed and banks, causing some material to break off

What is hydraulic action?
A
The sheer force of the water hitting the bed and banks

What is attrition?
A
The stone and boulders carried by the river knock against each other and over time are weakened, causing bits. To fall off and reduce its size

What is corrosion/solution?
A
When the river flows in certain types of rock such as limestone these are soluble in rainwater and become part of the water as they are dissolved by it
