popular culture is culture that is enjoyed by everyone, such as the MC and the working class

consumer culture is where people feel the ned to have the latest designer needs due to media and other people

parts of different culture in others, e.g dubbed English TV shows
give an example of popular culture?
watching television, going the cinema, playing or watching football

that the distinction between high culture and popular cultures relies on the power of the group supporting them
what does the media give everyone access to?
high culture e.g. shakespeare’s plays being turned into movies and using classical musicians in pop songs
what is seen as normal in consumer culture?
excessive consumption and going into debt
what is conspicuous consumption?
when people consume branded goods in order to contsruct and identity for themselves
what is an example of global culture?
McDonald’s, Nike, Coca Cola
