Type Approach of Personality Flashcards
1
Q
Fluffy & face-value approach to personality
A
Putting personalities in categories (an easy way of organising / saves energy and time/ convenient). Yet, we can overgeneralise when we end up putting things in a box.
2
Q
Determine a TYPE of personality
A
- Hippocrates: body fluids
- Freud: Id, ego & superego
- Sheldon: body type
- Myer-Briggs: 2 categories across 4 dimension (MBTI)
3
Q
There are issues with the MBTI Test for Personality
A

4
Q

A
Moreover, why 16 types? There are certainly more than 16 types of people in this world.
