A: -turners
- downs
- achondroplasia (causes disproportionate dwarfism)

A: -cushings= excess cortisol
- vitamin D deficiency
- hypothyroidism
- osteochondrodysplasia (bone abnormality)

A: -stress eg vigorous exercise

- marmite (due to huge aa load)

Q: Describe 2 tests for GH stimulation.
A
A: in hospital:
- make their blood sugar drop= causes ‘stress’ in body
- check GH levels
insulin tolerance test:
- measure blood GH before and after giving insulin
- GH levels should rise at least to 20mU/L or more
- if less= issues with GH
