Turbine Lube Oil Auto Starts
Main Suction Pump - (<90% Speed) - Oil Booster Press <20psig ESOP - MSOP < 190psig & TGOP < 27psig TGOP Loss of AC Lift Pump - Brg hdr >6psig (TRIPS @ 0psig) 500# Lift 25# ESOP or TGOP TGM - 0-1.5 rpm U1 - 0 RPM U2 - TGOP <20# (Armed) TGOP - MSOP <200psig Brg hdr < 25/15psig
TCV Opening Arrangement
Modified partial arc. 1, 2, 3 open together. When they are @ 64%, #4 starts to open. (This is about 90% power) #4 valve is clamped at 97% control ref. This is 40(59) % full open
When Turbine becomes self-sealing
> 30%
Shell Warming
ONLY TSV 2 cracked open, TCVs Open, CIVs Closed HUR must be kept below 150F/hr on 1st stage shell inner temp.
Bring pressure up to 60 to 75 psig
Chest inner to outer dT kept below attachment 3
Time to hold shell warming dictated in attachment 1
Vibration Limits
- If <800rpm the max allowed is 8mils
- Between 800 and 1400rpm the vibration limit for
any bearing is 10mils for 2 minutes and max
vibration is 14mils - At speeds >1400 rpm the vibration limit for any
bearing is 12mils
Chest Warming
ONLY TSV 2 cracked open, TCV closed, ISV Open
1st stage inner temp must be >250 F
Done until chest is 500F with <75F delta temp between inside and outside

Motor Suction Pump – 600V “C”
Lift Pumps – 2R24-S005 from 600V “B”(1R24-S005 from 600 “AA”)
Emergency Bearing Oil Pump – R22-S018 from R22-S016 (R22-S016)
Turning Gear Oil Pump – 600V C
Turning Gear – 600V C – Alternate power from 600AA
Arm lift pumps
Must be reset after a loss of power or trip. Reset in Main turbine enclosure at 164’ elevation
