Define: Associated with HPV (type 16) - 80%
Origin: Palatine/lingual tonsils - NONKERATINIZING SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMAS

- Benign neoplasms - true vocal cords
- Children/adolescents - juvenile laryngeal papillomatosis
Squamous cell carcinoma
- Most common malignant tumor of larynx
- NOT ASSOCIATED WITH HPV
- Glottic carcinoma - most common
- Supraglottic and Subglottic carcinomas - not common
