Two implications, first Macbeth and Duncan probably suspect Macbeth and second they are closest to Duncan and most likely to be suspected of the murder so for this reason they decide to leave. Their behaviour suits Macbeth because Malcolm is higher to the throne, by leaving it will seem as if he is guilty of the murder Macbeth now free to claim thrown for himself as he is next closest blood relative.
