What does yellow tube test?
it is NON-sterile and covers DNA studies, used for organ transplant /matching exam
what is the additive for yellow tube ?
ACID-citrate-dextrose (ACD)

Looks for coagulation factors/coagulation tests. FULL DRAW REQUIRED with inversion of 5 times.
what is an additive for light blue ?
sodium citrate
what does yellow/black tube test?
most common STERILE, BLOOD CULTURE. for microbes. SPS
what is the additive for blood culture?
broth mixture

CBC, Hematology and Blood bank. requires full draw.
what additive does lavender contain?
EDTA
what other tubes contain EDTA and are used for Blood bank/ blood typing?
