TT 22 You're going with them. Flashcards
…they still come.
That’s how it was with all of us, Ron,
everybody that found their way here.
You turn on the radio in the middle of the night,
for whatever reason, mostly not to be alone anymore I guess.
It’s crazy,
there’s nothing on the radio anymore,
it’s impossible, but there it is. This voice.
And you haven’t heard another human voice for…
However long.
Since everybody else was taken away
and you were left alone.
Since everybody else was taken away
and you were left alone.
So you listen, you keep listening,
praying the station won’t fade away
before you can find out where it comes from.
And then you hear, and then you come.
Look, Ron, nobody’s come now for five, six months.
Not since that guy from over in Kamloops,
and it was another two or three months since the last ones before him.
This whole past year there’s been what, only six people arrive. Of what, forty three of us?
That’s it, Ron. It’s time to go.
