Six Logs that Can be obtained from DCUI
Syslog - Logs messages from the VMkernel and other system components to local files or to the remote host.
VMkernel - Used to Determine uptime and availability statistics Config - Potentially useful in the case of a host hang, crash, or authentication issue Management Agent (hostd) -
Logs specific to the host services that connect your vSphere client to your ESXi host Virtualcenter Agent (vpxa)
- Additional logs that appear when your ESXi host is connected to and managed by a vCenter vmWare ESXi Observation Log (vobd)
- Logs changes to the configuration of your host and their result
What do you do when the host name of your plug-in server changes and you can no longer enable a plug-in?
Navigate to C: \Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\ VirtualCenter Server\extensions and replace the hostname of the plug-in server with IP address of the plug-in server.
