Signs of Tricuspic Regurgitation
A
Prominent V waves in JVP
Distended JVP if right ventricular failure present (usually would be)
Right ventricular heave
Pan systolic murmur at base:
increased by inspiration
decreased by valsalva manoeuvre
Pulsatile liver
Peripheral oedema and ascites

Causes of Tricuspic Regurgitation
A
Functional Secondary to dilatation right heart
- LHF, MS, MR, primary lung disease, eisenmenger syndrome, hyperthyroid, PS
Primary Triscuspic Pathology
- Iatrogenic trauma (cath), IE, Ebstein congenital abnormality, Carcinoid, Myxomatous degeneration, SLE, RA
