Alternative Medicine
A system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself. It embraces many therapies, including herbs, massage, acupuncture, exercise, and nutritional counseling.
Naturopaths
A planned program of activities in a professional care setting designed for older adults who require supervised care during the day, or those who are isolated and lonely. The centers enable seniors to socialize and enjoy planned activities in a group setting, while still receiving needed health services. At the same time, they offer family caregivers respite from caregiving duties while knowing that their loved one is in a safe place.

A facility that provides rehabilitative, restorative, and/or ongoing skilled nursing care to patients or residents in need of assistance with activities of daily living.

A home for older people or people with disabilities who can live fairly independently but need some help with everyday tasks such as preparing meals, bathing, and dressing

It gives residents a strong sense of belonging and purpose, catering to seniors who are relishing newfound freedom – freedom from homeownership, freedom from housekeeping, freedom from cooking, freedom from a to-do list. These communities are committed to helping seniors age well in a home-like environment where they are considered a vital part of community life.

The practice of medicine using technology to deliver care at a distance.
telemedicine
It includes any professional support services that allow a person to live safely in their home. The care services can help someone who is aging and needs assistance to live independently; is managing chronic health issues; is recovering from a medical setback, or has special needs or a disability. Professional caregivers such as nurses, aides, and therapists provide short-term or long-term care in the home, depending on a person’s needs.
