Large UK medical research study found differences between antidepressants and placebo drugs were negligible.

what does this mean for the biomedical view?
A
it is reductionist. if was purely biologically based causal, then all medical drugs would work at treating major depression.

what is the issue with many studies researching biomedical treatments of major depression?
A
frequent unblinding of the pp’s - they are able to guess the treatment group.
the internal validity is affected and therefore the result are bias and generalisation is an issue.
