-Typical or atypical (extrapyramidal effects/pharmacological profile)
-activity on Mesolimbic/mesocortical area- antipsychotic, sedation(rapid)
-activity in substantia nigra- motor effects
-antipsychotics- several weeks for effect

Atypicals:
-‘second generation’
