Points earned on a hotel reward club can be applied to services offered by connected rental car companies or airlines

Award club members may receive free room upgrades to a suite
Upgraded rooms
Discounted room rate offered to company employees
Corporate rate
A short term for wireless fidelity which is a standard for devices that connect to a local area network with wireless technology
Wi-Fi
Discounted room rates usually offered for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Weekend rates
The percentage of rooms booked for a particular period
Occupancy rate
A written travel agenda
Itinerary
A system used to help travelers locate hotels, routes, and restaurants when traveling
Global Positioning System (GPS)
The perceived level of luxury for a brand of car. Often tells the size of the vehicle
Class
A presentation or seminar sent over the internet
Webinar
A technology that allows employees and companies to make phone calls over the internet instead of over traditional phone lines
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
A large scale, off-site meeting, which usually takes a year to plan. This style meeting helps bring together large groups of people
Convention
The person in charge of leading the convention committee
Chairperson
The group of people brought together to help strategize, plan, and organize a convention or other large-scale eating
