Apa perbedaan transitions dan conjunctions?

Transitions help show relationship between ideas, create a logical flow, and create a sense of connectedness called “coherence”.

Jadi, transition digunakan untuk menghubungkan ide2 atau gasasan utama dengan gagasan pendukung antar kalimat atau antar paragraf agar menjadi sebuah tulisan yang padu.

Sedangkan conjunction digunakan untuk menghubungkan kalimat dependent-independent. Saat menggunakan conjunction words, kamu tidak perlu memberikan tanda titik di antara dua kalimat.

NOTE:
Saar menggunakan conjunction, boleh menghilangkan sedikit bagian dalam kalimatnya. Asal bagian yang dihilangkan punya pengertian yang sama. Sedangkan saat menggunakan transitions bagian kalimat harus tetap utuh.

Contoh:
They’ve already said Carol would come but she didn’t. (conjunctions)

They’ve already said Carol would come. However she didn’t come.
