in front during descent and behind during ascent
if no handrail present it is reccommended to have 2 people guarding
some PTs may be comfortable to have steps spanning a few steps if they have a long enough stance
how to ascend stairs or curbs with s standard walker
only if pt uses walker for balance only and is relatively strong
can used closed walker unless significant strength deficits then use open for greater stability
up with good down with bad
