An approach to treating mental illness that focuses on the person and their symptoms rather than the diagnoses they fall under.

It is a theory that proposes that psychological distress is due to the loss of control causing an unresolved goal confliction
What is method of levels therapy?
Based on the principles of Perceptual control Theory. MOL therapy directs an individual’s attention towards identifying important and conflicting goals. Lastly it supports individuals to find solutions to their own problems
