Yes, either pump can operate all the hydraulically operated systems
Each pump’s delivery and pressure varies from:
0 gpm at 1,500 psi to 3.9 gpm at 1,400 psi
What type of hydraulic reservoir does the T-1 have?
Air-Over-Oil type
How many filters are used in the hydraulic system?
3 hydraulic fluid filters (1 at each pump and 1 in the system return line to the reservoir) and 1 bleed air filter
Hydraulic fluid shutoff valves are
Normally open and are electronically closed by pressing the respective LH or RH ENGINE FIRE PUSH switch light located on the shroud panel or by pressing the respective amber L H/V or R H/V OPEN switchlights
Can you open the hydraulic fluid shutoff valves?
Yes, press the respective amber LH H/V or R H/V CLOSE switchlights
The hydraulic system normally stabilizes at:
1,500 psi
What happens if the hydraulic pressure exceeds 1,500 psi?
A relief valve opens at approximately 1,650 psi, relieving the overpressure condition
What happens if the relief valve fails to automatically open at 1,650 psi?
Pilot or Copilot opens the bypass valve to return the hydraulic fluid back to the reservoir (HYD PRESS indicator display approaching 1,850 psi)
The hydraulic valve package consists of what three valve assemblies?
Landing Gear System
Flap System
Speed Brake System
What is the capacity of the hydraulic reservoir?
1.2 gal
Reservoir air pressure is regulated to what psi?
15 psi by the air supply check valve, the vacuum relief valve, and the pressure relief valve
What electric bus powers the hydraulic pressure indicator?
The LH LOAD BUS
What C/B protects the hydraulic pressure indicator?
The HYD PRESS CONT C/B on the aft C/B panel
What transmits system pressure to the HYD PRESS indicator?
Pressure Transducer
When does the L and R H PMP PRESS LO (respectively) annunciations illuminate?
When the associated pump pressure falls below 750 psi
How is the low hydraulic fluid level caution annunciation energized?
By a float switch in the hydraulic reservoir
When does the HYD LEVEL LO annunciation illuminate?
When the fluid level in the reservoir falls below 0.6 gal
