apply character formatting
2 ways:
1)
1. translate the segment first
2. Select the word in your target segment
3. Keep the Ctrl key on your keyboard pressed down and click the word with the green formatting and release Ctrl

- Select the word in your target segment
- Press Ctrl+, > opens quickplace list > press enter
remove character formatting

Trados and formatting
Trados Studio will then use artificial intelligence to determine the words that need to be formatted. Note, however, that the artificial intelligence only works when your TM contains at least 1,000 segments (and will produce better results with several thousand segments).
