Uilleann pipes
He uilleann pipes have a sweet mellow tone. The pipes consists of many parts. The bag,bellow,3 drones,chanter and regulators. The drones are used as a accompaniment, the tune is played on the chanter and bag pumps air to fill the bag. The uilleann pipes were found in 1968 to promote pipping in Ireland. Famous players Liam o Flynn and paddy Moroney
Fiddle
~Is the most important instrument in irish music since late 17th century.
~it has 4 strings, G D A E and is played using a bow.
~ the instrument may be played against the chest ,shoulder or upper arm.
~ it is played in 1st position only
~it is popular because can accommodate different types of ornamentation.

The wooden flute
The wooden flute is the most common type of flute used in irish music. It is a wooden tube with six finger holes and one mouth hole. Some wooden flutes have extra metal keys for accidentally notes but these aren’t used in irish music. The instrument as a mellow, breathy tone.
