Traction Passout Flashcards

0
Q

Describe the basic principles of the air production system

A

Air is drawn by the compresser which then passes it to the engine stop cylinder and throttle air actuator. Then on to the main reservoir tank, pressure is controlled by a compressor governor which dumps excess air to atmosphere via the purge valve. Upon leaving the main res tank air is passed to the distribution system via MRPIC
