Traceability Methods Flashcards
Trace to parent:
A child requirement decomposed from parent; all child requirements trace back to parent; success of children = success of parents
Trace to source:
Each requirement must trace to its source; identifies where requirement originated, rather that just the parent requirement
Trace to interface
Requirements trace to interface control document (ICD) that define requirements between interfaces
Trace to peer
Links related requirements at same level (bundled code-dependent, etc)
Trace to verification method:
Traces requirement to verification methods such as a test plan, inspection, etc.
Trace to verification requirement:
Traces to a specified set of verification requirements, rather than system requirements (how it must be verified
Traces to verification results:
Links to a set of verification results
