ABX: Spiramycin (reduces vertical tranmsission)

Termination: May offer TOP if USS evidence of fetal infection

What are the complications associated with toxoplasmosis in pregnancy? What is the prognosis of toxoplasmosis in pregnancy?

A

Miscarriage, PTL, fetal death, congenital toxoplasmosis (hydrocephalus, retinochondtiritis, intracranial calcifications, IUGR, Heptaosplenomegaly, Thrombocytopenia, rash)

PGX depends on severity of congential toxoplasmosis.
