Benidorm, Spain was a small fishing village in the 50s- By 1990 it had become a mass tourism destination- With hundreds of high rise buildings and hotels- very busy- generated a lot of money- gone into decline in recent years- regenerated- easy access due to cheap flights- become more British, pubs etc- faces competition from other cheap resorts and destinations such as Egypt
