Special-interest tourism based on a particular area, interest or activity

Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people
What are short haul destinations?
Destinations which are a short distance away, typically reachable by car, bus, train, or a flight of generally less than five hours
What are long haul destinations?
Destinations that are a long distance away, usually reachable by a flight of five hours or more

The application of scientific knowledge to develop machines, equipment and ways of doing things

Factors influencing people’s demand for goods and services and their ability to travel

The lifestyle, habits, or character of tourists visiting a place

The amount of income left to an individual after taxes have been paid. It is the amount of income available for saving and spending

Changes in the way people live throughout their lifetime and from generation to generation
What are destination factors?
The infrastructure and services in tourist destinations that allow for more convenient and comfortable stays for tourists

Fluctuations in tourism refer to the irregular rising and falling of tourist numbers or receipts over a period of time
