WHAT IS TOTAPS
TOTAPS is a process of managing and diagnosing sprains and strains

Talk - Talk to the athlete to gain as much information about the injury as possible.

Observe - Observe the athlete and site of injury, and any signs of visible abnormalities

Touch - Touch the site of injury, feel for abnormalities, heat and swelling to determine where pain begins/ends.
A
Active Movement - Ask the athlete to move the muscle or joint, to observe range of motion
P
Passive Movement - Gently manipulate the muscle or joint through a range of movements to identify any pain
S
Skill test - Assess the injury to determine if the injured area can undergo low-intensity basic movement.
