Describe Whole Job Method
Skills and Abilities associated with the job tasks are assigned a value based on how much more or less it requires than other jobs in the company. (If it requires more skill than another job, then more money).
Name three common nonquantitative methods
- pricing method
- classification method
- ranking method
Define Pricing Method
also known as the slotting method. A value is assigned to a job based on another job that is equal in requirements. (Like Secretary and administrative assistant)
Define Classification Method
Separates each job into a category based on the tasks required of the job and then assigned a level of importantce.
Define Ranking Method
This puts all of the positions in order from highest to lowest based on how important the compensable factors are
