Define Sherman Antitrust Act
The first US government action to limit monopolies and the oldest antitrust laws. The act has been interpreted to limit the use of wage surveys between two or more competitors as a form of salary fixing.
Define Davis Bacon Act
Established the requirement for paying prevailing wages on public work jobs. Federally assisted construction over $2,000 must include provisions for paying workers on site no less than the locally prevailing wages and benefits paid on similar projects.
Define Copeland Act and Anti-Kickback Law
Prohibits contractors or subcontractors from inducing employees from giving up any part of the compensation and requires contractors and subcontractors to submit weekly statements of compliance.
