Intentional Torts - Trespass to Chattel
A
The intentional interference with the chattel in possession of another without consent or privilege.
Intermeddling, damages must be shown.
Employee intended to intermeddle corporation computer, but inter-meddled with small business owner’s. This is transferred intent.
The small business owner had no functional disruption to computer system, so no damages could be shown, thus, no claim for trespass to chattel.
