Rough terrain is hard to navigate and the rocks can harm people. The public can distract you and get in the way of an investigation

The OS map can help students choose beach locations as it shows the steepness of the land so it will be easy to find an accesible place and coastal management. In addition you can use a scale to see how long it will take helping to plan

Using a ranging stick place into sand and use a klinometer to see the gradient each time. Also a tape measure to see its length
