Proximal: Anterior superior iliac spine
Distal:
- Medial surface of the upper part of the shaft of the tibia
- Medial collateral ligament of the knee
List the proximal and distal attachments for Rectus Femoris
Proximal:
- Anterior inferior iliac spine
- Ilium just superior to the acetabulum
Distal:
- Tibial tuberosity via the patellar ligament
List the proximal and distal attachments for Vastus Lateralis
Proximal:
- Upper lateral part of the intertrochanteric line
- Lower border of the greater trochanter
- Lateral side of the gluteal tuberosity

- Assists in flexion, abduction and lateral rotation of thigh at hip jiont
