Q

What is a Physical change?

A
  • Occurs when there is no change in the identity or composition of the substance
  • When there is no chemical reaction
  • Change in the state of matter are physical changes
  • A change in the size, appearance, volume, etc. is a physical change

Q

What is a chemical change?

A

Is a new substance formed with:

  • New composition
  • New physical/chemical properties
  • Chemical reactions occur
  • Original substances are transformed
  • Most of the time they cant be turned back
