Archer - argues that the mc students have the same habitus as teachers and receive symbolic capital whereas wc only receive symbolic violence. Thus they need to form their own culture (nike identities)

A

Many working class students felt looked down upon by society so create their own symbolic capital through branded clothes.

This creates respect from peers not wearing branded clothes is ‘social suicide’
