- The league awarded the islands to Finland

- Results of a vote suggested that it should go to Germany
- A majority of the Silesian people wanted to go to Poland
- It was split between both countries

- After much debating Turrkey finally agreed to let Iraq keep Mosul

- Greece was ordered to pay 45 000 euros to compensate Bulgaria after invading
- This was judged disproportionate response of a shooting incident
- Greece accepted ruling but thought it unfair

Vilna

A

1920 - failure
- Vilna became the capital if Lithuania
- A polish army seized the city in 1920
- Lithuania made and appeal to the league
- League asked the Polish to leave but they didn’t
- The matter was passed to the conference of ambassadors

Occupation of the Ruhr

A

1923 - failure
- French and Belgian troops occupied the Ruhr to try and ensure that Germany was paying reparations
- Germany responded with civil disobedience so that to not provide France with any reparation funds or goods that come out of that territory

Corfu incident

A

1923 - failure
- Italians forming an international boundary were murdered on Greek soil leading Mussolini to order a naval bombardment on Corfu
- When Greece appealed to the league the Italians were ordered to leave but Greece had to pay Italy
