What is Asexual Reproduction?
Involves only one parent.
What is Sexual Reproduction?
Involves both individuals.
What is Heritable Characteristics?
Passed on from generations to generations. Example: eye colour, skin colour, height
What is Non-Heritable Characteristics?
Acquired, Not passed on from generations to generations. Example: ability to play piano, ability to swim, ability to play
What is Discrete Variation?
Refers to differences or changes in characteristics that have a defined shape or form.
What is Continuous Variation?
Refers to differences or changes in characteristics that have a range of form.
What is Binary Fission?
Only one-celled organisms.
What is Budding?
Organisms (hydra & yeast) manufacture again asexually.
What is spores?
Manufactured by distribution or division of cells of the parent.
What is Vegetative Reproduction?
Reproduction of a plant that does not involve the composition of a seed.

Sperm cells
In Sexual Reproduction in Animals what is the female gamete called?
Egg cells (ova)
What is Fertilization in Animals?
Unite of sperm cell with egg cell occurs and happens during mating.

Joining of two peculiar or specialized cells.
