Reflection
The process of light striking a surface and bouncing off that surface.
Incident Ray
The incoming ray of light that strikes a surface.
Reflected Ray
The ray that bounces off the surface after reflection.
Normal Line
An imaginary line perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence.
Angle of Incidence
The angle between the incident ray and the normal.
Angle of reflection
The angle between the reflected ray and the normal.
The Law of Reflection
The Law of Reflection states that the angle of incidence will always equal the angle of reflection.

Lots of uneven ridges
Smooth Surface
Flat
Plane
a two-dimensionsal (2D) imaginary surface
Convex mirrors
Mirrors that bulge out. Make images appear smaller.
Concave mirrors
Make images appear bigger. Image is flipped when it’s far away.
