Living Apart Together Relationships (LATS)
Where people are in a long term committed relationship and define themselves as a couple but live in separate households

A family where one or both partners have been previously married or cohabiting, and one brings with them children of a previous relationship

refers to differences in family structures/lifestyles between ethnic and religious groups

refers to differences between classes

way family life differs in different geographical locations around the country

adult kids who live with their parents as they can’t afford to rent/home

kids in parents pockets - adult kids living with their parents by choice

refers to the way families can change through life

various significant events e.g marriage that individuals experience and the meanings they give to to these events
