WHAT ARE TRUTH COMMISSIONS? TOTAL DEFINITION
Non judicial, independent panels of investigation that are establish to investigate and report human rights violations in a country. State bodies (they must be implemented by the country, despite being independent)- which are established to investigate past human rights violations in a particular country, which can include violations by the military, state forces or the armed opposition forces.
WHO IS CONDUCTING THE TRUTH TELLING IN THE COMMISSION?
-NATIONAL MEMBERS.
-INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS
these members in the commission have the sovereignty , the jurisdiction to investigate and research abouth the past situation
WHICH IS THE CONTENT OF THE TRUTH COMMISSIOIN? WHAT DO THEY SEARCH FOR?

- the perpetrators’ identity
- the ultimate fate and whereabouts of the victims (where are the victims, in case of dissaperance)

The truth commision has 17 members. It has 3 committees:
1ºHuman rights violations
2ºAmnesty committee
3ºReparations and rehabilitation committee
