Q

How does trexall slow cell division? It binds with the enzyme DR which is supposed to bind with folic acid, and this produces nucleotides (3)

A

Trexall is a competitive inhibitor. Less folic acid attaches to enzyme/ fewer enzyme-substrate complexes. Not enough nucleotides available for DNA replication.
