Q

Moss Life Cycle

A
  1. Spore generated into gametohyte (1n) composed of protonema and gametophore
  2. Haploid protonemata produce “buds” dividing by mitosis and growing to gametophores
  3. Sperm produced by Antheridia swim through a film of moisture to egg
  4. Archegonia produce egg for fertilization
  5. Fertilization occurs with water
