-trabeculae:extensions of capsule into organ; from a meshwork that gives structural support & forms passageawya for vessels

-cortex: a.outer part with lymphoid follicles-clusters of lymphocytes. With a germinal center: light are where B-cells proliferate & mantle/cap zone-dark are surrounding center with small resting B-cells
b.Interfollicular area: b/w the follicles has T-cells & dendritic cells

-paracortex: are b/w cortex & medulla without follicles. Contains HEVs- specialized vessels that cuboidal & tall, they facilitate the entry of lymphocyte from blood into node

-medulla: inner part made of a.medullar cords-dense clusters of lymphocytes, macrophages & plasma cells
b.medullary sinuses: open-channel like space line w/ endothelial cells; pathway for lymph to flow through node
