Realms
Has to do with physical divisions as well as human divisions. Not permanent
Divisions of realms/regions
Area largely determined by human activity. Where you find most people, etc. Statistical center of a specific realm

Human migration
Development of people, economies, families, organization, knowledge that can be expanded
Civilization
Process where they figured out how to use water in which people had access to. Primary result was irrigation of fields & water lift
Hydraulic Revolution
Systematic means of growing crops…More crops than you need. Civilization was the prime result of this. This allowed for specialization of other tasks other than farming. Ex: Resource Utilization
Agricultural Revolution
Something that denotes physical features & man made artifacts (city) of a country, world, state, etc. Includes latitude & longitude

Something put up for a specific reason often displaying data
Chart
Rain that evaporates before it hits the ground. Common in Sahara Desert.
Virga
System which utilized absolute location
Latitude/Longitude
Realms that are dominated by a single major political entity, in terms of territory and/or population. Ex: North America (U.S.A). Middle America (Mexico). South Asia (India).
Monocentric
Realm in which appearance, functioning, and organization are dispersed among a number of more or less equally influential regions or countries. Ex: Europe, North Africa/Southwest Asia, Subsaharan Africa, and the Pacific Realm
Polycentric
Latitudinal & longitudinal extent of a region with respect to the Earth’s grid coordinates.
Absolute location
Location with reference to other regions.
