Harry Laurence Gantt - Created Gantt chart in 1910s, showed importance in project management

Leonhard Euler - Showed that there was a critical load for buckling of a slender column

Daniel Bernoulli - Bernoulli principle (principle for describing fluid flow, pressure, density and velocity)

Karl von Terzaghi - Developed a theory for the evaluation of the ultimate bearing capacity of shallow foundations

Thomas Simpson - Derived a formula for working out the area under a curve (Simpson’s Rule)
