A building in which the sick, injured, or infirm are received and treated. It is a public or private institution founded for reception and cure, or for the refuge of persons diseased in body or mind, or disabled, infirm or dependent, and which they are treated either at their expense or more often by the charity in whole or in part, being an institution which is not carried for private gain.
HOSPITAL
They care for patients with various disease conditions for both sexes to all ages, medical, surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics, etc.
GENERAL HOSPITAL
A facility that provides rehabilitative, restorative, and/or ongoing skilled medical care to patients or residents in need of assistance with activities of daily living.
LONG TERM FACILITIES
It is a home providing care for the sick or terminally ill. It focuses on the comfort of the patient and provides a better quality of life with the goal to enable you to have an alert, pain-free life and live each day as fully as possible.
HOSPICE
It is a live-in health care facility providing therapy for substance abuse, mental illness, or other therapy problems. It is considered the last-ditch approach to treating abnormal psychology or psychopathology.

SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL
A patient who receives medical treatment without being admitted to a hospital. Medical care is provided with diagnosis, observation, consultation, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation services.
OUT PATIENT
It is an establishment or hospital department where outpatients are given medical treatment or advice, especially of a specialist in nature. It is smaller than a hospital where patients are less sick and do not stay overnight.
CLINIC
It is the care to prevent illnesses or diseases. Examples are screenings and immunization to help patients to stay healthy.
PREVENTATIVE
These are distinct types of care that are provided in a home setting. It is provided by a registered nurse, occupational therapists, physical therapists, or other skilled medical professionals and is described as part of a care plan following hospitalization.
HOME HEALTH CARE
Any licensed private hospital or hospital affiliate, institution, or facility operated by the state which provides treatment of persons with mental illness.
MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES
It is a remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology. It is used to overcome distance barriers and to improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities.
