Top of Tower Flashcards
We are now…
at the top of St George’s Tower where you can see for up to 10 miles. St George’s was originally built as a defense tower for the Saxons and the view is a strategic one.
As you’ve heard…
the castle evolved into a prison and much of that remains today. Here, we have D-Wing, the original, oldest wing you will be visiting shortly. Across you can see A-Wing, now developed into the Malmaison hotel
Now I will…
give you around five minutes or so to explore by yourselves at your own will and have a look at the views of the glorious city of Oxford. A bit of advice, I recommend you make the most of these five minutes because after that, your back stuck with me so be sure to enjoy the peace and quiet whilst you can. If you have any questions I will be ominously lurking around so do be sure to come and ask if you are curious about anything. OK, enjoy!
Ok everyone…
Lovely if we are already to come down then we can all come down at once and by that I don’t mean fall. So if you follow me now we can make our way down and again mind those heads and hold those handrails!
