What are rules to the disc sander

A

Always wear PPE
The extractor must be on
Only sand to smooth the edge of a material
Use both hands to control the movement of the material, gently from side to side
Ensure the sanding area is free of dust
Ensure it has the correct guard
When operating place timber on the right side only

A

Power machine found in woodworking section
Main function is to cut curves in thin piece of wood, plastic, or metal
Various blade styles are options for ranges of jobs
Blade does and up and down motion
Teeth on the blade point down, downward stroke
Hold the material down but don’t put fingers near the blade, downward pressure
