High Rise Nozzle description
- 1 1/2” Diameter Aluminum pipe
- Approximately 10 lbs.
- 2 1/2” S/O - * S/O is Permanently attached to the nozzle.
- 1 1/8” MST - Removable & checked WEEKLY during MUD and BEFORE USE
- 8’ long
- 68 degree, 2’ bend
High Rise Nozzle additional info
- Supplied by a 2 1/2” H/L
- Flows of 200-225 fpm @ 50 PSI nozzle pressure w/ water flowing
- Standpipe pressure gauge MUST be used
- 3 lengths of 2 1/2” hose will be 70 psi w/ water flowing
- 4 lengths of 2 1/2” hose will be 80 psi w/ water flowing

Which engine company is responsible to bring the HRN to the CP?
It is the responsibility of the 4th due engine to bring the HRN to the CP.
* If the 4th due engine is not equipped with a HRN, the OFFICER shall contact the dispatcher for the identity of the engine company equipped with a HRN assigned on the box.
Upon arrival where the HRN is required, what additional equipment is required to be brought to the LCP?
Upon arrival, the officer will have the unit bring
- the HRN
- One length of 2 1/2” hose per FF
- the Standpipe kit w/ controlling nozzle
- report to the IC at the LCP
Who will order the HRN to placed INTO OPERATION?
The HRN will ONLY be placed into operation at the direction of the IC.

- The officer supervising nozzle operations will order water started
- Officer will then notify the IC that the nozzle is in position and ready to operate
- The nozzle will NOT be operated until the IC has given approval.

If repairs are required, the company officer shall contact TSD via phone and request a replacement.
