-Flat to undulating platue 44m ASL
-Other parts of Kanto Plain is upland and ranges in height from 30-250asl
-Bordered by mountains both west and north

Ikebukoro: Commuter hub for people accessing Yamanote Line from Saitama and also a shopping/entertainment district. Unsavoury reputation
