fear that england would dominate the LON to protect their empires, scared it’d mean sending it’s soldiers to different places, US wants to not get involved in European affairs
The vilna border dispute
1920, between Poland and Lithuania over Vilna(capital of Lithuania but most of the population were Polish) and it was awarded to Poland
Upper silesia border dispute
1921, border between Germany and Poland, a plebiscite was ordered in which the industrial areas became German and the rural became Polish
Aaland Islands border dispute
1921, Sweden and Finland wanted control, the islands went to Finland and Sweden accepted
Corfu border dispute
1923, Greece and Albania, Italian general investigating it was murdered and Italy blamed Greece which then resulted in the LON condemning Italy’s acts of invasion whilst Greece had to pay compensation
Bulgaria border dispute
1925, Greece invaded Bulgaria, Greece were forced out of Bulgaria and had to pay £45,000 which they did

The league’s parliament which met once a year and contained representatives from all members. All votes had to be unanimous

The court of the league that played a key role in providing decisions on disputes between countries about borders
what does the secretariat deal with
any kind of civil services which made sure all the other bodies in the league ran smoothly by keeping records and reports. It was underfunded and under-staffed
